Warner Bros. New Movie Orphan

The idea, to flood google searches with positive Orphan stories to offset the negative of the movie Orphan…

"Warner Bros. new horror movie Orphan proclaims that it must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own. Let me tell you about how an orphan changed my life…"

My son came to us at two days old. We loved him the minute the car pulled up. He has always been "ours" in our minds and hearts. The legal truth is that he only legally became ours last week, at 21 months old. His birthparents rights were terminated (TPR'd) last July. We had to wait for the appeal to get processed and the judgement upheld before we could adopt, etc. Technically he was an ORPHAN for the last year of his life. Technically, if there would have been a medical emergency for him that needed decisions made, the state would have had to decide what they would do…for our son.

In the past year my Orphan has learned to walk, talk, ride a scooter, eat M&M's (he prefers the mini ones 🙂 and so much more. Most of all he has loved and been loved…He has made me look at the world from a perspective I have not looked from for a long time, that of a toddler. Everything is new. Everything is fresh. Everything is fun again!

I love my former Orphan…

Just finish this sentence: "Warner Bros. new horror movie Orphan proclaims that it must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own. Let me tell you about how an orphan changed my life…"

1. Write a "positive protest post" on your blog that references the movie, Orphan.
2. Focus on your orphan care or adoption story that is positive, redeeming, and full of love.
3. Link your post here via a trackback or comment.
4. Send out an e-mail, Facebook message, or tweet to get others to do the same on their blogs.
